The Brimfield Flea Market
50th Anniversary The Brimfield Antique Flea Market began in 1959 with
Gordon Reid's one small flea market and is, at present,
comprised of 22 individually-owned and operated flea markets
ranging in size from 15 dealers to over 1000. The show has
grown dramatically over the years and has entered its 46th year as of 2005.
The dealers and buyers come from all over the country.
They come back year after year, rain or shine, to buy and sell
antiques and collectibles, books, prints, stamps, and coins. The tents and dealer's
booths are set up on both sides of the road, 500 to 1000 feet
deep, starting in the center of town extending westward, along
Route 20, for approximately one mile. Also,
many food vendors and portable restrooms are located up and down
the road. ATMs are available.....all dealers will
accept cash!
Every show there are thousands and thousands of dealers selling
to thousands and thousands of buyers. Even though the
Brimfield Barn Market and Early Bird Show are primarily indoors,
offering safety and protection for our dealers' high quality merchandise, the
whole Brimfield Antique Flea Market is primarily outdoors and is the largest outdoor antiques and collectibles
flea market in the U.S.
The Brimfield Antique Flea Market currently enjoys an international
reputation for both its large size and the high quality of its’
merchandise. The show runs from Tuesday through Sunday, three
times per year, in the months of May, July, and September.
However, the
"Early Bird Show" at the Brimfield Barn Flea Market starts
inside the barn the weekend before
everyone else and is your best opportunity to find some treasures
early!.
The Brimfield Barn Market and the Brimfield
Antique Flea Market have grown in reputation as well as size. The
markets have been featured in Sunset Magazine, as well as
Home and Garden Television's antiques show, The Antiques Road
Show, and Flea Market Finds. Buyers are attracted from as far away as Japan
and Europe.
