The Brimfield Barn
Welcome to the Brimfield Barn, located in the heart of
Brimfield, Massachusetts, home of the world famous Brimfield
Antique Flea Market. Brimfield is on busy U.S. Route 20,
seven miles east of Palmer and seven miles west of Old
Sturbridge Village, in the central part of the State. The
Brimfield Barn is located towards the western part of the Flea
Market, across the road from Francesco's Italian Restaurant and
next door to Collins Apple Barn. Since 1986, the
Antique Show and Sale at the Brimfield Barn has been known for
its fine hand-painted porcelain, art pottery, glass and china,
and paintings. The Brimfield Barn also features a large
collection of Native American Indian beadwork and artifacts, estate jewelry, sterling silver, and various other wonderful
treasures. Outside and under the tents, you will find
Architectural treasures, early American and European
furniture, vintage lighting & lamp parts, vintage jewelry, a
large display of beads and findings, and
many other fine antiques and collectibles. Patricia and
David Schultz have owned and operated the Brimfield Barn since
April, 1986.
The Brimfield Barn Market is
the place to be in Brimfield! See you there..............
The Brimfield Flea Market The Brimfield Antique Flea Market
began in 1959 with Gordon Reid's small flea market and is,
at present, comprised of 22 individually-owned and operated flea
markets ranging in size from 15 dealers to over 1000. The
show has grown dramatically over the years and has entered its
50th year as of 2009.
Most of the dealers and buyers come from the forty-eight
contiguous United States, but many come from all around the
world.
They come back year after year, rain or shine, to buy and sell
antiques and collectibles, books, prints, stamps, and coins. The tents and dealer's
booths are set up on both sides of the road, 500 to 1000 feet
deep, starting in the center of town extending westward, along
Route 20, for approximately one mile. Also,
many food vendors and other services, including shipping
services and portable restrooms, are located up and down
the road. ATMs are available.....all dealers will
accept cash!
Every show there are thousands and thousands of dealers selling
to thousands and thousands of buyers. Even though the
Brimfield Barn Market and Early Bird Show are primarily indoors,
offering safety and protection for our dealers' high quality merchandise, the
whole Brimfield Antique Flea Market is primarily outdoors and
under tents and is the largest outdoor antiques and collectibles
flea market in the U.S.
The Brimfield Antique Flea Market currently enjoys an international
reputation for both its large size and the high quality of its’
merchandise. The show runs from Tuesday through Sunday, three
times per year, in the months of May, July, and September.
However, the
"Early Bird Show" at the Brimfield Barn Flea Market starts
inside the barn the weekend before
everyone else and is your best opportunity to find some treasures
early!.
The Brimfield Barn Market and the Brimfield
Antique Flea Market have grown in reputation as well as size. The
markets have been featured in Sunset Magazine, as well as
Home and Garden Television's antiques show, The Antiques Road
Show, and Flea Market Finds. Buyers are attracted from as far away as Japan
and Europe, and recently, South America.
